One of the UK’s most challenging cycling races is back for 2020. Etape Caledonia is an 85 mile journey through Big Tree Country, taking in the wonderful sights of Pitlochry, Aberfeldy and Loch Rannoch – including a steep climb up Schiehallion. Not quite ready for Schiehallion? Take on the less intensive 40 mile route. Slightly less challenging but with scenery that is equally as breathtaking.
Starting in 2007, the sell out event now attracts 5,000 cyclists to Highland Perthshire to take part. Even if you aren’t participating in the race, it’s a great time to visit as the area comes to life with festivities for the event.
