Pitlochry Highland Games was re-established in 1852 and one of the first traditional Highland Games to be revived.  The gathering takes place on the 2nd Saturday of September and 2019’s event will be held on the 14th September at the Recreation Ground in Pitlochry.

It attracts 7,000 visitors from around the world and is a family-friendly event open to all.

Guests to the event can experience traditional Highland games and entertainment including Tossing the Caber, Throwing the Hammer, Track and Field, Highland Dancing, Pipe Bands and Piping Competitions. There are also plenty of food and drink stalls serving local produce.
